1) Dr. H.R. and wife, Manitoba, Canada:
We think Divine Healing of Mind and Body is perhaps the greatest treasure in our home. We read it together at meditation in the morning and evening. We are starting it a second time now.
2) Mr. L.M., Auckland, N.Z.:
I am so thrilled with MacDonald-Bayne's tapes that I have decided to have the complete set. What I appreciate more than ever is that his messages are stretched over quite a period of time because intellectualization is not the answer, and growth and development is only obtained via experiencing and having truths manifesting through us.
3) Mr. E.W., NSW, Australia:
As a follower of Sri R.M.'s Jnana Yoga, I found the several books I have read of Dr. MacDonald-Bayne's instructions and lectures on Tantra, in one word, 'enlightening', and thus indispensable to the Path of Self-Realization. He has managed to explain the most difficult passages of the Yoga Sutras in simple English, making his books a pleasure to read without the need of cross-referencing.
4) Mr. G.T., Australia:
I became interested in innumerable religions, and finally - troubled with an insistent back pain that refused to go away - stumbled one day on a book called Divine Healing of Mind and Body, hoping it could help me. All went well for the first few pages but I stumbled at one passage where the Master mentions how the body of Murdo MacDonald-Bayne had been prepared by the teaching received in the Himalayas. I stopped there, closed the book and let my mind go back to other books I had read about people purporting to have received their knowledge from the yogis in the lofty Himalayas and, like a stubborn mule, refused to go any further.
A little later, not wanting to let my new purchase go to waste without giving it a second chance, I casually opened the book toward the middle and let my glance fall at random. The book opened on page 110, paragraph 77: "I said to him, O Peter, why did you doubt?" I took that as a sign and my spiritual evolvement received a healthy prod upwards. These days I find myself filled with a new peace of mind; my spiritual growing continues and the tapes are helping.
5) Miss G.B., Israel:
I say Dr. Bayne's books are the most universal I've ever read. You know something, that material on the tapes is so beautiful! It is too concentrated, and I think it must be put in books one day, as it is. I hope more and more of it will be in the future.
6) Mrs. J.M.B., Katikati, N.Z.:
I get different impressions with different cassettes, and the feeling I got with Dr. MacDonald-Bayne's lectures was one of a very high spiritual level, rare in fact.
7) Mr. W.C.T., Mississippi, USA:
Enjoyed so much this last book by Dr. Mac, Life Everlasting. I think it is one of the best of his that I have read.
8) Miss J.S. of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada:
The tapes are my reason for hurrying home to put them on and get recharged, if you know what I mean. I must write you about my appreciation of all the work you put in these cassettes and everything connected with it. My mind gets boggled with all the intricate details that go into what you do to make this possible. ... Been listening to the tapes day in and day out and loving every moment. Tried to interest some others and they agree but think it not very practical. Imagine that!
9) Mr. M.C., Springs, S. Africa:
The tapes are fantastic. I am like a little kitten drinking cream milk every day.
10) Mr. A.C.S., Transvaal, S. Africa:
I am busy reading Spiritual and Mental Healing and am absolutely enthralled by it.
11) Mr. T.P.C., Kimberley, S. Africa:
I already possess several of his books, and must say that I consider him as one of the finest authors on Truth.
12) Mr. V.W., England:
While I was giving a lecture the other day in our spiritualist church, one of the ladies came up to me and said that I was being overshadowed by a man with ... and then she went on to describe in full his face, figure, and personality. It sounded just like Dr. Mac, and I had been thinking about him for some days. So I got his photographs that you sent me and took them to show her. She was astonished and agreed that they were of the man she had seen but that one photo you gave me was more the way she saw him. Well, of course, I was delighted.
13) Mr. D.L., Kent, England:
On a number of occasions I have been given Dr. Mac by a medium over the past years, not by name, however, by other positive identification, and now it is all fitting in. I will tell you something that is perfectly true. One day I was sitting with my eyes closed and a gentleman's face built up before me. Now this is quite rare as I sense rather than see. I was shown his full face; he then turned slowly and I was shown a side view. The next time I came across this gentleman was in a side and full view photo supplied by yourself three months later, of the Doctor, and believe me, this is true.
14) Mrs. M.T., Corriemoor, S.A.:
I can't begin to describe to you the joy we experienced at hearing Dr. Mac's voice again after all these years; and what he had to say on those tapes has been like a shot in the arm! Reading his books is all very well but listening to the tapes has clarified so much for me. It is a wonderful work that you are doing and one to which you have obviously been especially called. There is a small group of us who attended Dr. Mac's lectures in Pretoria and we're all keen to have the recordings.
15) Mrs. M.E., Clubview, S.A.:
I attended Dr. Mac's Pretoria lectures for some years. I was in my early twenties at the time, and listening to the tapes now is like coming home after a long, fruitless journey. Bless you for the work that you have done and are still doing.
16) Dr. H.T., Johannesburg, S.A.:
Just after the war (1945), Dr. MacDonald-Bayne practised in a building a block away from me. I never actually met him but have treated many of his ex-patients. He administered manipulative therapy, and instilled in his patients the necessity for a spiritual belief. He helped most of the patients who consulted him; his ability was profound, almost as if he was constantly being assisted by a higher help. Murdo also gave public lectures and most of these are available in his books.
17) Mrs. M.S., Pretoria, S.A.:
I attended classes given by him many years ago and found great wisdom in his words, but it has become more and more real in the years since. Dr. Mac used to see patients once or twice a week and was always fully booked. He always meditated before every treatment, for a few moments, and came into the room where you waited for him almost glowing with the truth, peace, and confidence. He had wonderful results.
I remember once going to see him after my husband had been badly injured in a car accident. I had just returned from the hospital and went to his office without an appointment. He came out, saw me and held both my hands, saying "Don't worry, my dear, I know he will be all right," and such strength and warmth flowed from him into me! I shall never forget it. His lectures were quite wonderful too. I loved them at the time but wish I had known then what I know now, I would have understood them better.
18) Mrs. D.W., England:
I was a patient of Dr. MacDonald-Bayne for a time with back trouble and through a friend's persuasion attended some of his lectures which were always most interesting. He was a remarkable man, looked no more than 45 and yet was in his mid-70s. Except for having back treatment and attending an occasional lecture of his, I had very little contact with him. I will say that when he finished a lecture and was about to give the blessing, his face changed completely and became Mongolian - his guide apparently. It used to amaze me. He often said that the lecture room was filled to capacity and yet there were only about 90 visible students, and many of them spoke about the beautiful music they heard.
19) Mrs. L.B., Margate, S.A.:
I one day asked Dr. Mac whether he had seen Our Lord when he was in Tibet and he answered, "Yes, dear, and you too will see him." Well, when I saw Him overshadowing Doctor in Escom Auditorium and the satan of the senses started arguing "that surely is hypnotism, it couldn't be," Our Lord turned to me after my anguished inner call for help from God our Father, and He pointed His first two fingers of His right hand to me and said, "Now, be at peace."
I know of no word, in the languages that I know, that can describe that peace, which came like a shower over me and has been ever since. ... I cannot really find words to tell you how much I treasure these photos and the tapes. His voice is so very natural on some tapes; it is as if he is with me and his old students - most of whom already beyond the veil. Thank you for what you are doing. Yes, it was and is, a privilege to have been a student of Doctor and just to have shared a few thoughts with him.
20) Miss E.A., Jo'burg, S.A.:
He was a very human person and that was his contact with people, because he was so human. He knew that people had faults, that they were all so imperfect, and he himself admitted that he was so imperfect. And it was that quality of his which brought him so close to people. But he was streets above us.
When you sat and talked to him, he was just an ordinary person, and you could only bring him out and get him interested in things after a little while. But then he only had to stand up there on that platform and start to talk, well, you could see that he was something different. He had nothing sanctimonious about him and that was why people would get down to him, talk to him, and tell his story and troubles. They felt, "Well, I'm talking to a man who is just a man, who understands my problems and if I've done things that are wrong, he understands these things."
That was his secret.
